Frequently Asked Questions

What segments are included?

All 80 official Zwift segments across 10 worlds: 43 climbs (including Alpe du Zwift, Ventoux, Epic KOM), 22 sprints, 14 lap segments, and the Bologna TT course.

How accurate are segment time estimates?

Estimates use Zwift's physics model and are typically within 5-10% of actual times. Longer segments tend to be more accurate as pacing variations average out.

What power should I target for a segment PR?

For short segments (under 5 min), target 110-120% FTP. For medium efforts (5-20 min), aim for 100-105% FTP. For long climbs like Alpe du Zwift, sustainable power is usually 85-95% FTP.

What W/kg do I need for sub-60 on Alpe du Zwift?

To complete Alpe du Zwift in under 60 minutes, you typically need around 3.2 W/kg at threshold. Sub-50 requires approximately 4.0 W/kg, and sub-40 needs around 5.0 W/kg.

Do the dedicated segment pages have more detail?

Yes! Each segment has its own page with a detailed elevation profile, section-by-section breakdown, benchmark times, and specific tips for that segment.
