Jonas
I have been playing racket sports for years. I built this calculator to help players track their calorie burn during matches and practice sessions.
Badminton Calorie Calculator
Badminton burns between 300-550 calories per hour. Singles burns more than doubles since you cover the entire court alone.
How the Calculator Works
Calories Burned = MET × Weight (kg) × Time (hours)
MET Values by Game Type
| Game Type | MET Value |
|---|---|
| Competitive/Tournament | 7.0 |
| Singles Match | 6.5 |
| Doubles Match | 5.0 |
| Casual/Recreational | 4.5 |
Example Calculation
For a 70 kg person playing singles for 60 minutes:
1. MET Value: 6.5 (singles)
2. Calculation: 6.5 × 70 × 1.0 = 455 calories
