I have been playing team sports for over 10 years. I built this calculator to help athletes track their calorie burn during games and training sessions.

Cricket Calorie Calculator

Cricket burns between 200-450 calories per hour, varying significantly by role. Fast bowlers burn the most calories, while fielders have variable intensity depending on game situation.

How the Calculator Works

The calculator uses MET values based on cricket role and activity:

Calories Burned = MET × Weight (kg) × Time (hours)

MET Values by Role

Cricket Role MET Value
Bowling (Fast/Spin) 6.0
Wicket Keeping 5.5
Batting 5.0
Net Practice 4.5
Fielding 4.0

Example Calculation

For a 75 kg fast bowler bowling for 2 hours:

1. MET Value: 6.0 (bowling)

2. Calculation: 6.0 × 75 × 2.0 = 900 calories

Note: Fast bowlers in Test cricket can burn over 1,000 calories in a full day's play due to repeated high-intensity bowling spells.
