Converting GPX Routes to Zwift Workouts

Overview

Our GPX to ZWO process helps you create structured workouts from your routes. When you upload a GPX file, we analyze the data to create a Zwift workout that matches your outdoor experience.

What You Need

  • FTP Setting: Your baseline power for workout calculations
  • Intensity Choice: Determines the workout difficulty
  • Bike Weight: Helps calculate accurate power targets
  • Rider Details: Used for precise calculations

How We Convert Your Route

  1. Initial Steps:
    • Upload your GPX file to begin
    • Our system processes the route data
    • We analyze the GPX track information
  2. Creating Your Workout:
    • The system will create power-based intervals
    • Each route section becomes a workout segment
    • We adjust intensity based on your settings
  3. Final Steps:
    • Your workout gets formatted in ZWO format
    • The system generates the complete workout file based on elevation data from the GPX file.
    • You can download and use your new workout in Zwift

Power Guidelines

Your workout power targets are calculated based on:

  • Steep climbs: Higher power targets
  • Flat sections: Moderate power targets
  • Descents: Recovery power levels

Example Process of Using a GPX File In Zwift

Here's how a typical conversion works:
